Low tech camping/deck hot tub…

Hi. Okay, so I have a very low tech solution to a hot tub.  Solar power.  Yep. We used to keep our swimming pool warm and comfy with a simple bubble wrap type of cover many years ago.  It works.
Think: the black plastic bag for the way a solar shower works.  Using a relatively shallow, large surface to heat the water in a giant black plastic puddle covered with bubbles of air such as bubble wrap, big air bubble wrap or other air containment, you can easily heat up an air raft amount of water to enjoy, and it is perfectly safe.  If you dig a side dunking hole, fill the hole with balloons and let the big puddle heat up.  Then, when it’s nice and warm, let the air out of the deeper hole and the warm water will fill up the hole nicely.    Taking that idea further, heat the water just like the solar showers do, and  the plastic thermal cocoon you surround the hot tub with will keep it temperate.
